✨ How Youth Can Enter ✨

official rules
  • Think of an idea. It can be a product, service, social enterprise, or tech business. Participants are highly encouraged to create an idea that solves a problem in their community!
  • Create a video of yourself or team pitching the idea.
  • Applicants may work in teams (max 4 youth per team) or individually. For team submission, only one submission entry will be accepted. All applicants are allowed to submit only one video entry. Keep the camera focused on you or the team for most of the video. We want to see and hear you or the team pitching your idea. We don’t want to see a commercial.
  • Keep your video short, 30-90 seconds is the time frame.
  • Entries will be judged on
    • the CREATIVITY of the idea and the name;
    • the PERSUASIVENESS of the elevator pitch; and
    • the PRESENTATION QUALITY of the pitch and video.

✨ Submission Instructions ✨

  • Click "Submit your video" below and create an account. Make sure you select Hawaiʻi state.
  • Fill out submission application.
  • Upload your video by April 7.
  • Email complete Media Form Release to hawaii4ost@gmail.com by deadline.
submit your video

All entries must be received by April 7, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.

✨  Helpful Tips ✨

  • Practice is key. We do not want to see you reading from a sheet of paper.
  • Be enthusiastic! Viewers will be more interested in your idea if you are excited about it.
  • If filming on your cell phone, hold your phone horizontally – vertical videos do not look professional.
