The Youth Entrepreneur Summer Mini-Pitch Challenge is a pitch challenge for ​youth in grades K-12 who are participating in Hawaiʻi summer programs.

✨ 2023 Summer
​Mini-Pitch Challenge
 ​✨ 

Youth will create a business idea for a product or service and create a short pitch video on the following four words: magnetic, pet, bounce, and Hawaiʻi. 

Eligibility:
  • K-12 youth participating in Hawaiʻi summer programs 
  • Students have the opportunity to work individually or in teams of two. ​

✨ How to Play ​✨

  1. Use the Brainstorming Rules to create a business idea for a product or service based on the four words above.
  2. Draw a picture of your logo and your product or service in action.
  3. Create a 60-90 second pitch video to convince someone it’s a great idea and they need it in their lives!
Be sure to include the following in your pitch video:
  • company name and product name
  • problem you are solving
  • description of your idea
  • why it's better than others
  • price
  • call to action ("Buy Now..." or "Visit us at...")

-Brainstorming Rules-

  1. Go for large quantities of ideas. The more the better.
  2. There are no bad ideas. Do not criticize or judge your's or other's ideas.
  3. Encourage wild and exaggerated ideas. Anything goes in brainstorming!
  4. Capture everything!

  • Upload your video by July 26, 2023.
  • Complete Media Form Release and upload to submission application by deadline.

Summer programs have the opportunity to a win $150 gift card to use for program supplies! If your student is recognized in the above categories, your summer program will receive the $150 gift card (limit one gift card per summer program).
