The Hawaii State Department of Education (STATE), Office of Strategy, Innovation and Performance (OSIP), Community Engagement Branch (CEB), is soliciting proposals to provide summer after-school childcare for latchkey children who have completed kindergarten through grade four (4) or five (5) at various public elementary schools statewide. The proposals will be used by the STATE to establish a pool of qualified providers to administer the Summer After-School Plus (A+) program at designated schools. The STATE will select a provider from the qualified pool to oversee the program at each site. Multiple contracts may be awarded under this request for proposals, and the contract term will run from May 19, 2025, through April 30, 2026. Proposals must meet submission deadlines and adhere to all procedural requirements outlined in the RFP.
The deadline to submit a proposal is February 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM. On behalf of the New York Life Foundation, the Afterschool Alliance invites out-of-school time programs to apply for an Aim High grant, supporting and bolstering their efforts to prepare middle school students for success in high school, college, and beyond.
